for new saddles


I always remember my day telling me this was the most full on oil you could get.
(he may have even used the word penetrative).
that it would soften leather so much the stitching would just pull out.
I oiled my saddle bag and he was right.
it fell apart.
made from neats' (calves) feet. (but not their hooves)
the biology of why it stays liquid at room temperature is fascinating.
I also love how Sceney's are still local. Still in Sunshine.
i have my doubts about how pure it is though.
pretty sure I can detect the smell of mineral turps.
otherwise it's a surprisingly soft and pleasant smell,
considering it's boiled bones.
