Folding Panaracers

cleaned up Victor's wheels and gave him new brake blocks
and new tyres
the folding panaracer 27s that had been sitting waiting for a while
while they look spiffing, it's hard to tell if they're better
they're certainly as good as steel-beaded Panaracers
and when I rode my 650b rando this morning I was not overwhelmed by how much better those tyres rolled
so that probably means they're good.

these babies are waiting for the Sport.

Moto!

a friend's pristine vintage moto-velo
Speedwell frame with
Dutch? Italian? British? two-stroke engine.
a clutch lowers the engine's rubber jockey wheel onto the front tyre.
what looks like a thumb-shifter is actually the throttle
just amazingly lovely

Current Victor

while Supa Sport and Jo are out of action
I've been back on Victor a lot.
replace the very lightweight and original alloy riser bars with
the Nitto Doves
visions of the bars snapping off whilst riding...
the flipped Doves have allowed me to consistently go down a cog at the back
the more aggressive position means I engage bigger muscles
and so a higher gear is as easy as a lower gear was in the more upright position with the old bars.
atrocious, free instagrammy filter.
sorry.

Dura Ace dropouts!

the final, final touch to the supa-sport
finally she will have proper DA dropouts with axle-adjusters
soon... ish

Spacemaster: triple load

handlebar basket
pletscher 'mouse-trap' rack,
plus extra shopping basket hanging by its handle

surprisingly stable arrangement

still minimal by third-world standards.
